Health and Safety

At Project Social Care, your child’s health and well-being are very important to us! We strive to provide healthy and safe learning environments to ensure each child’s sensory, motor, and physical development are supported in settings that are both conducive to learning and reflective of the different stages of development. PSCHS supports all aspects of children’s development, including physical, nutritional, oral, and mental health. children receive age-appropriate screenings for vision, hearing, and dental health. Growth and nutritional assessments are also completed upon enrollment. Results from screenings assessments are shared with families, and there is regular-follow up to ensure that no health concern goes undetected. services are a significant part of our program, and each of our centers serve a variety of healthy foods to meet USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) guidelines. Our services connect families with medical, dental, and mental health services to ensure that children are receiving the services they need. We collaborate with licensed clinical social workers who provide Mental Health services to each of our center-based programs, and we understand that this is a support system that strengthens all facets of healthy early childhood development. Project Social Care Head Start is proud to support, protect, and respect all genders, cultures, languages, ethnicities and family compositions.
